STAK — Intelligent Living

The digital layer of Behring Co's "Full Stack Real Estate" platform: one app where residents of 452 smart apartments at Oakland's 1900 Broadway unlock doors, book amenities, resolve building issues, earn rewards — and schedule a Tesla from the on-site fleet in seconds.

The PLAY tab, filtered to BBQ Grill, listing two grills at 1900 Broadway with opening hours, capacity, floor and an hourly rate. The other filters read Fitness, Exterior and Golf.

The LOCKS tab showing one large door card reading B2-02 Elevator Lobby M with a LOCKED badge, above a grid of eight pinned doors — stair vestibules, lounges and terraces across several floors.
LOCKS — door accessPinned doors on the phone. This is the call that opens a lock.
The Tap Room screen, reached from the LIVE tab, with Menu and History tabs and a Top Rated sort. Four beers are listed, each with its brewery, star rating, style, ABV and a price per ounce, above a Pour Now button.
Tap Room — self-pourResidents pour their own. The tap bills the card already on file.

The challenge

Resident services, coworking operations, payments, reservations and door access ran as a fragmented set of separate systems across five properties.

What we built

A Flutter resident app, a React operations platform, and one API behind both — carrying payments, reservations, visitors, parking and access control.

How it works

The platform reaches into the building itself. A backend call doesn't end in a screen updating, it ends in a door opening, a bay assigned, or a Tesla booked.

The result

One app runs door access, payments, amenity bookings and the Tesla fleet across 5 Oakland properties and 452 apartments — every day, for more than 1,000 people.
